October

October was a bad month for me, on the 5th, I was putting a light bag of rubbish into Lyn's car ready to take to the dump.
I was stretching forward to get the bag as far in as I could, then suddenly there was like a bad electric shock and terrific pain in the calf of my left leg.
I shouted out in pain. I was just able to hop down the path, passing Lyn who was working in her garden.
As I passed her I shouted "I have hurt my leg".
Somehow I got into the house and up the stairs, and lay on the bed. I lay there for about 3/4 of an hour.
Lyn eventually found me, and said "I thought you were mucking about"!!!!!
I can't remember what I replied to that.

I had ripped a muscle in my calf, after a week, it was still very swollen and painfull, so decided to see the doctor, who confirmed the pulled muscle, and said it should get better from now on.
Another week and still the same, so decided to go to the local Physiotherapist. Came out with crutches !!.
Two days later on second appointment, was able to get rid of the crutches, and the leg was a bit better.
Third appointment was more treatment and exercises to do, to stop the muscle from healing shorter than it should be.

I have never been so bored to be stuck indoors for almost a month, but good news leg is feeling much better, early November see the Physio again.
Did manage to get out to take a couple of pictures.
