Lyn and Malcolms Garden Blog
March 2018

March even here near the south coast had extremes of weather.
Hard frost at minus 7c one night, to snow on several occasions.
Plants like Narcissi and Crocus had a hard time, crocus were buried in the snow, and Narcissi flowers were bent down with the weight of snow.

In the Exotic garden, heating in the Aviary, Banana houses, Green house and Conservatory, worked hard.
Fortunately the snow only lasted a couple of days, and the plants were revealed again.
