March 3rd
Surprisingly the plants in the garden are slightly ahead, of the same time last year.
Considering that last winter was very mild and wet, and this year colder nights, I wonder why?.
I then remembered I had seen on TV that this winter had been the sunniest for a long time, so I guess this might answer the question.

I have been mending some of the boundary fences over the last week, they aren't actually all ours, but they would be in a big heap on the ground if I didn't mend them.

Crocus sieberi 'Sublimis'

Magnolia 'George Henry Kern' buds.

Iris reticulata

Clematis 'Josephine'

Narcissus 'February gold'

Fatshedera lizei 'Variegata'

Camellia williamsii 'Donation'

And the 'Lollipop tree' leaf buds opening. We use this tree as an indicator of how early or late Spring is over the years.
