March 10th
Much better weather for the last four days, the plants in the garden are growing fast.
I have been making up new wood lattice fencing to replace the existing fence which was 9 years old and going rotten.
It didn't take long to make but did take ages to get two coats of paint on.

The allotment is drying out reasonably well, yesterday we did plant Broad bean plants we we raised here in the greenhouse.
We also have some lettuce in the frame at the allotment, bit of a risk with those re any frost we might get.

Back in the garden, Lyn found the first Lily Beetle of the year. The lily leaves were just emerging from the ground.

Crocus sieberi 'Sublimis' still flowering well since the rain stopped.

Narcissus 'Jet fire'

Crocus "Ruby Giant "

Crocus 'Blue pearl"

Crocus "Ruby Giant " Bumble bees are after the pollen, but can destroy the flowers.

Fritillaria imperialis 'Rubra Maxima' Quite a difference since the picture taken last month.

And the Clematis are forming lots of buds.
