Lyn and Malcolms Garden Blog
June 2018

June 30th
Well I had hoped to have put a lot more on our website blog this month, but the very hot weather for the whole month, has seen me in the garden every day, trying to keep it up together.
Watering has become a chore, and the computer that this website is built on, failed a couple of weeks ago.
I finally got round to fixing it today.
We also have an allotment, no water down there yet, been waiting four years for it !!!
So every other day we load the car up with five water carriers, each holding 28 litres, to water the vegetables.

The gardens here are doing well, the Roses had a lot of flowers in the early part of the month.
Agapanthus have twice as many buds than usual, as do many more of the plants.
Why? well I can only guess it was due to the very cold spell, with temperatures down to minus 7c we had in early Spring.

In the 'Exotic' Garden, apart from the Agarve, the plants have needed watering a lot too, but the warmth has brought flowering on earlier than usual. We had been worried that the German tour group that has visited us over the past four years, would not see as much colour this year, but in the end we had no need to have worried.
