December 29th
Last night we had quite a hard frost, down to minus 5.1c
The last December temperature as low as this was in 2010

Mother still in hospital now about 67 days.

December 14th
As you can see I have not been very active on our garden blog for a while.
My Mother of 97.. Years that is! Has been in Hospital for the last 51 days. In fact it has been in 3 Hospitals.
She had a fall while I was transferring her into her wheelchair after having her hair washed and cut.
A&E said she had broken her elbow and she would have to stay in one night.
Since then she has had two lots of Pneumonia, of which we were told she might not survive and they would not try to resuscitate.
Several infections, and also they decided she hadn't broken her elbow after all.
She may be coming out of Hospital during this coming week and having Physiotherapy to try to get her on her feet again.

So I have been a bit busy visiting, but there isn't much to do in the garden at this time of year anyway.
Here are a few pictures I took recently in the garden.

Have a good Christmas.

The usual lighting in the garden at this time of year.

Grasses continue to give some interest in the garden.

On our windowsill indoors, one of the Irisene plants I bought back in October. Should be some interesting colour.
