Abbotsbury subtropical garden. Dorset

We visited this garden with some of the members of  "The Real Gardeners", on April 4th 2004.
It was the second "meet" of the year, and we were lucky with the weather, just one shower during the time we were in the garden.

One of the lakes, with Dicksonia Antartica on the island.

More tree ferns at the head of the gorge.

A view through the trees to the castle on the hill.

A very obliging robin, about one metre away from the camera

Fresh spring leaves.

The tea room and visitor centre.

Magnolia.

Lots of camellia in bloom.

And Rhododendron.

MYRCEUGENELLA APICULATA (Myrtáceas family).
Common Name    ARRAYAN     . Thanks to Walter Banos from Argentina, for emailing us with the name.

Looking back at the lake from the view point.
